I've recommended it before, but The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel series by Michael Scott is really good. The first book (6 in the series) is titled "The Magician"

Also, if you haven't read it, Orson Scott Cards "Enders Game" is really good. It is a lot like The Hunger Games.

Well I have not read either but while standing in line with fellow fans of the Kay Scarpetta series that is written by Patricia Cornwell. I head a few people talking about how much they ended up loving the Hunger Games series. So you might like the Scarpetta Series. They are Crime Drama murder mystery type books. The first book in the series is called Postmortem it is currently a 19 book series. I am considering giving the Hunger games series a try maybe this summer.

I recently started reading The Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Think X rated Twilight.

Well I havent read the hunger games but Ive heard about it. There is a series called the house of night that you might enjoy along with the sookie stackhouse series. Both are vampire based but not so cheesy love struck as Twilight. Not that I didnt love Twilight lol just sayin..

The house of night is A LOT A LOT ALOT more cheesier than Twilight. It took me a bit to get past the teen-y crap in it..especially the "teehee or hehe" parts written in there
