    Zombie books

Anyone have any good recommendations for zombie books? Not a survival or humorous type, but a good fictional zombie apocalypse story.

i haven't read this yet but i just heard about a trilogy called as the world dies: the first days. it's by rhiannon frater, i was participating in a discussion about the walking dead online and someone suggested the series because everyone was complaining that most females in zombie stories suck, so i guess it has good female characters?

I heard that I Am Legend was a really good book (and pretty different from the movie).

I dunno other than that though, I tend to avoid zombie/vampire/werewolf stuff.

    Just about to suggest this.

I started reading a book the other day about a Marine who gets stuck in his house during the zombie Apocalypse. Obviously, he's pretty good at staying alive. It's a trilogy, I just can't remember the name

I have read the first two and I really like them. Also, Day by day: Armageddon by J.L Bourne=Amazing! His 3rd was supposed to be out this past September but it's backed up until July! These books had me spooked. I also read Fleasheaters by Joe Mckinney. Also good.

I'm reading Star Wars Death Troopers. It's freaking sweet.
Star wars with a big ol' dash of Zombies.
