Help me with my "to read" list. Please?
I got a library card this weekend.
But I just checked out some silly vampire book (I Only Have Fangs For You) because the only book they had by the author I was looking for was the one I own. With the library here, if I can't find it at my branch, I can request it from one of the other 5 branches here in town. So help! So far I have... Catch 22 by Joseph Heller Fountainhead by Ayn Rand Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan (Never read it in high school because I was in AP) Suggestions on what to read?

What's your favorite book? I need something to read besides $5 romance novels.
![]() That's what I get for trying to post a thread when I should be on my way to class.

Oh, other than the ones you posted?
I see. I love the Fountainhead, it's one of my favorite books. Let's see... Have you read any.... Pearl Buck? The Good Earth is a good one to start with, but all of her novels are beautiful and interesting. John Steinbeck? He's by far my fave author. East of Eden, Grapes of Wrath, To a God Unknown are all fabulous. What about A Tree Grows In Brooklyn by Betty Smith? That is an AMAZING book that I can read over and over. |

Jenny, I think of the ones you posted that I've only read Grapes of Wrath.

See if you can find "To A God Unknown". It's a lot shorter and it's one of the most heart wrenching and amazing stories ever. Also, I'm in love with trees and this book confirms for me how amazing they are.
