i don't know what to read!!! please me...
![]() ![]() i would love to start a new series or book but I'm really picky and its hard for a book to hold my attention sometimes. I've tired to read some popular books but sometimes they don't stick and i stop. I'm not sure what is my book type is but i think if it has historical fact or mythology used in todays time period and lets me create the world in my head i like it. based on the books I've read so far can anyone recommend anything that you might think is good. Thinks for your time and help and is its not to much trouble and you have the time can you please give me an idea about what the books are about. THANKS AGAIN!! I'm think of trying The Angel Experiment (Maximum Ride, Book 1) by James Patterson or The Alchemyst: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel by Michael Scott . Has anyone tried them? BOOKS i have read and liked... Percy Jackson and the Olymapins... the whole series plus the guide book... twice. i love the nods to Greek mythology... like the statue of liberty being a tribute to Anthea. The vampire Chronicles by Anne rice... the sexual undertone were very entertaining. its that bad or weird? but only could read the series once since its so many books. the vampire Armand and Queen of the damned were my favorites. di Vinci code and Angel's and demon's by dan brown. twice each. i love them. the twilight series by Stephanie myer... four times now. i love Jacob and that some of the characters have special abilities. the host also by Stephanie mayer... SIX times and yes i prefer it to twilight. I LOVE and miss IAN. i think a loved the Percy Jackson books cause i love history, Greek mythology and the fact that its set in todays time period. I also think thats why i liked the dan brown and Anne rice books. I like Percy Jackson more though cause it wasn't all serious all the time it had a sense or humor. Twilight was addictive, and the Host was hard to get into at 1st but now i love it. I'm glad i read the twilight books and host before they blew up. I love the vampire chronicles cause Anne rice's writing allowed me to create that world in my head. It was serious with a dark sense of humor sometimes... plus the sexually tension and hints were fun to. However i did not like the exotica Anne rice books or the Mayfair witches. book i tired but failed... The may fair witches but Anne rice Wicked... just NO. Blood and chocolate Sliver kiss the uglies

Have you tried reading Phillipa Gregory's books....they made one of her books into a film The Other Bolyn Girl (sorry spelling I cant think lately)...they are based on historic figures mixed with nonfictional characters...other books are The Virgin Lover, The Queens Fool, ummmm...I cant remember the others..something like Mildacre or something like that..I own them but they are at my house and I am at my mums. Also have a look out for the Tea Rose, I cant remember its author, but its really good. They are Adult reading (dirty bits lol)...oh theres another book called Dirty Bits For Girls, it contains little parts of Novels such as Lady Chamberlins Lover lol..its pretty good

I really like old novels. Pride and Prejudice, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wuthering Heights. Just to name a few.
You could try the Eragon series? It's pretty good, not gonna lie.

I was going to suggest The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward but you don't seem to like errotica. I freaking LOVED the books...and it got very steamy. It has seven books in it and it focus' on a different character in the brotherhood in each book. It is about vampires and a group of creatures that have been at war for a very long time. Very good...it's got love, sex, drama, action and suspence.
I can't believe you don't like Wicked! The one about the wicked witch of the west right? I LOVE that book!Right now I'm reading "Kiss Me Forever" by Rosemary Laurey. There is a second book in this series called "Love Me Forever" I'm really liking it. It starts out a little slow but once the action starts it is just a spiral up! It's about vampires too. It has good romance in it....some sexual points in it but nothing too discriptive and it doesn't go too in depth and gets back to the story. I recommend this as well.

Wicked was just to much language and words... i felt like they kept repeating themselves over and over again in a hard to read language. I might try your Black Dragger Brotherhood though... i don't mind exotica as long as it has a point or story. and the Rosemary Laurey books sound like something i might read... I'll definitely look into those. Thank you so much for the suggestions.

If you like historical fiction type stuff give Truman Capote's In Cold Blood a shot. I
![]() ![]() that one. I'm currently trying to reread a historical mystery called The Tainted Relic. I bought it a while ago and had to put it away because I was to busy with school. It's really great if your at all into Medieval, historical fiction, or mystery. It has all of those elements and is just a good read. |
