the other side of war
(originally posted this in the wrong place lol.)
so my DF just left 23 days ago...not like im counting :]. but ive been in the mood to read all about other women and their deployments, and how they handle them. (i dont know why when ive been surrounded by the army my whole life, and this isnt my first deployment, im thinking it has to do with me not being busy, not working just waiting for my babe to be born) anyways. i just ordered the book called "The Other Side of War" by Jessica Caputo. i recieved it in the mail today (and just like any other book) i finished it a little bit ago. in the book her husband is in the marines and is deployed for 6 months at a time, and i harshly judged thinking "i have to go through 15 month deployments. id be so thankful for 6 months!" (which is stupid bc id rather not have my DF be deployed) but after reading this i realize its just as hard. and any deployment no matter the time frame is just as rough and the women and children go through the emotions just as i. its a good book. made me cry, but remember i am an emotional crazy preggo lady as my DF jokes. but its a good book none the less. its a lot shorter than i thought it would be and was looking for more books to read. any suggestions?

honestly no not really. i feel like there are better books out there that can help us cope with deployments. this book is just a story of what she went through. its a good book to read. but prolly not the best if your looking for something to help you understand everything.
