Books for you AND hubby?
My DH and I decided to do a book club of sorts for while he is away (read and discuss so our conversations don't get monogomous with our daily routines and such). We have a couple picked out already, but I was just wondering of any good novels that you and your SO have both read and enjoyed.
Also (random) he wants to read a good story about Kosovo or Albanians & Serbians and what not, so if anyone happens to know of a book pertaining to that area of the world, that'd be great too! TIA

What a great idea! I wish my husband would agree to doing this. I don't know of any books that I could advise for you to read though. Sorry!

DF and I read a lot together - it's like story time before bed.
We both really enjoyed the DaVinci Code, Angels and Demons and Stranger in a Strange Land. I also got him to read the HP series with me ![]() No real recommendations on any Kosovo/Albanian themed books though. |

Our first choice is A Thousand Splendid Suns. We both really enjoyed The Kite Runner and thought is would be something on mutual grounds for the first choice. I'm also thinking about The Young Hitler I Once Knew because he is a huge WWII buff.

The Odd Thomas books by Dean Koontz.
Harry Dresden Files by Jim Butcher I'm also sending him "Lies My Teacher Told Me" by James Loewen once I finish reading it. It's basically all the assumptions we have about American history turned on their ear. (ie: Betsy Ross had exactly zero to do with the creation of our nation's flag) |

Right now my husband is reading "Wild at Heart", which is geared towards guys and I am reading "Captivating", which is like the the female counterpart. It's fun because its not the same book, but its about the same type of thing.
