the red tent
has anyone else read it? i have just started it but so far i really like it! alot of times i start a new book and i really have trouble getting into it or staying focused on it but this one i am having no problems with!!

such an amazing book!! its one of those i read at least once a year. beautiful story and very well written. i love it!!

I've never read it, but a friend of mine has and she LOVES it! I keep meaning to..but don't get around to it.

That is one of my fave books!!! it was hard to put down after I got into it

One of my all-time favorite books. I can't tell you how many copies I've bought - I'll give mine away and buy another, or buy them for my friends and family. Incredible, fabulous book and it really brings Biblical times to life.
If you like Red Tent, you might also like The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood - not quite the same genre but I have the same love and addiction for it like I do for Red Tent.

omg, i just read that book! definitely one of my favorites now. it's really intersting to see the different cultures back then and i love how diamant took a very small part of the bible, where they mention her really briefly and completely expands on it. it made me hate jacob and his sons tho, and the musical joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat with it sadly. lol. it's also a really interesting women's studies book, to see how segregated women were in Canaan then...
