    [Infected] Tattoo Help?

    Advertisements
My best friend and I got matching tattoos on our inner ankles about four days ago. This was my fifth tattoo, but it's been so long since I've had fresh ink I'm not sure if mine is healing correctly or not.

The majority of the tattoo looks perfectly fine, except for that one arrowhead. It's really angry and red/raised/pretty sure a bad scab is going to form soon. I've also been taking perfect care of it...I have no idea why that one spot is so bad.

    Any advice?

P.S. Please ignore the stubble on my legs!

It just looks a little more irritated to me, not infected. Probably because more ink is in that area.

Was the tattoo done by a licensed professional in a licensed studio?

Doesn't look infected to me. But I'm not a medical professional either. Make sure to keep the area hydrated with non scented lotion.

Yeah it looks fine to me, just a little more irritated in that area because of more ink or they went deeper or may have gone over it a few times.

i wouldn't be worried yet if it was done safely and professionally. if it spreads go get it looked at.

That's how both of mine looked the first few days cause they had to be gone over quite a bit. Just make sure to keep it clean, and hydrated.

Mine have been a little redder/splotchy in some areas. It just healed at a different pace. Keep an eye on it, but if you went to a licensed/clean shop, you're probably just fine.

I've had spots like that on every tattoo i've gotten. usually in a spot the artist had to go over more than once. As long as it doesn't get gooey, pussy, or anything like that I'd say you're fine. Just keep it aired out and don't over moisturize.

    be cool.

Thanks, everyone! It was done at a good shop, and the artist was licensed, etc. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on it!
