    Shocked So much pain!

    Advertisements
I got an old tattoo covered Monday night can NOT get over how much my ankle still hurts!
I am limping from the stinging pain in my muscle and the skin is so very sensitive! I've been taking Motrin to ease it up a bit.
I do NOT remember having so much discomfort with my other one that is about the same size (although 30 years may have dimmed the recollection a bit!)

Anyone else ever have this much pain 36 hours afterward?

I got my tattoo in the same spot actually and it was a cover up. It didn't hurt as much the first time around, but after the cover up I was limping for a few days. I don't know if it was because it was a bigger tattoo or what, but it was definitely sore.

For my larger pieces, I've taken Aleeve for a few days after getting them. It's pretty normal for me.

I think my tattoo pain tolerance has diminished a bit since I was young... But I'm still getting them.

    (again, I LOVE this tattoo!)

Good to know it's not all in my head and I'm not just being a whine bag. I remember him using a heavy hand and pulling my skin pretty taut.

Just going to have to suck it up!

Same here. I really love it. Can I ask what you were covering up?

The one on my hip stung for a few days too... but I think that was more the placement and constant clothes rubbing. Cute tat!

I had my zodiac sign for cancer...unfortunately everyone thought it was a "69" even though it was horizontal. It also had crab claws and a crab head. It just caused me embarrassment. I hated it.

I love your cover-up! I have no experience with tattoos in that area, so I can't comment on the pain, but I just wanted to say that it look amazing!
