Roll Eyes Getting your SO's Name Tattooed

    Advertisements
So DF wants to get my name tattooed on his ring finger so it'll be underneath the wedding band, and asked if I would do the same.
I've never had a tattoo and I'm a little bit apprehensive
    about needles in general
I want to and I think it's a really sweet idea, and I like that I'll be able to hide it under my wedding ring.
But I know I really need to think it through before I decide to do this.

I started to talk to my friends about it and they all say it's a bad idea, that it's bad luck on something?
Anyone have their SO's name tattooed on them?
Or gotten a tattoo on their hand?
    Any feedback would help

I have never met anyone who didn't regret a name or the ring finger tattoo. DH said he wanted it and I don't like the idea

I wouldn't do it, but I think if you do, do it in another language

My ex DB had a tattoo of his ex girlfriend on his chest. By the time we got together he had already gotten it covered up with a darker tattoo but it still annoyed me. Not saying that you're doomed to fail but I don't think it's such a great idea but that's just me.

Nope, because unfortunately shit goes wrong and marriages end. Although i never want to see it or have it happen, I never say never.

I was just looking at my hand and it looks like it would be awfully hard to clearly put a small name on a finger....especially a womans finger! I'm not sure how it would come out...i've never seen one up close.

I'd so no...you could always get it somewhere else that could be covered up (f your worried about that) instead.

I'm just now watching a wedding show and the fiancee is getting a ring tat. I think tats are personal so who cares what your friends think. If you think this signifies your love for your DF then go for it. If you don't want a tat on your body then don't get one.

I got DH's name tattooed before we got married. We're still together.
I dont believe in all that bad luck stuff, if a relationship is gonna end, it's gonna end with the tattoo or without.

eta- no hand tattoos for me, yet. I want to get a roman numeral for 12 on my ring finger. Its the day we got married
