This hate I feel in the pit of my heart
Is yet only comparable
To the pain of a swift poison dart
But oh so more unbearable
It stems from the insecurity
The one that lingers so deep
They thought it a sign of immaturity
They didn’t even think of the secrets’ I keep
Buried deep inside of me
They do torture my soul
Stunting the person I could be
And plunging me into this black hole
From their words I have gone astray
In this search to find me, will you lead the way?
