This yearning I feel of you
Deep down inside of me
I tried to restrain it as it grew
For I saw it as a dream that could not be
When you held me close
My heart forever seemed to flutter
Even now time itself slows
With the words your dare to utter
Days I remember that soon you’ll leave
Are days that kill me piece by piece
Days in your absence are days I grieve
Yet I have to be strong as these days increase
I’ll miss you completely with all my soul
But I’ll try to keep courage as I let slip my control.
