Wine?
I've never been a wine drinker, but I want to start. I don't know the first thing about it. Where do I start? What do you suggest?

![]() Wine in a box ![]() A good one to start with is "Lambrusco Riunite" for a red and a "moscato" for whites. Very good and sweeter to start with

Isn't red wine supposed to be the healthy one? Or is it either?
At dinner with my parents this weekend, the waitress was talking about sweet or dry or this or that and I'm knew nothing about all. I have looked for wine classes here, but of course, I can never find anything close by. |

Check out locl wineries. They often have wine tastings that are a lot of fun. Plus, local wine is often cheaper and you are supporting a business in your area.

This is a GREAT idea. Also, a lot of wineries offer Basic Beginner's workshops. Which goes over the basics of choosing a wine, pairing it with food, serving it, and helps you sample different wines to figure out what you like.

red wines are quite stronger most of the time, and go better with rich foods like red meats and sweet desserts
white wines are usually quite a bit more mild, better for chicken. sometimes its good to have a bottle of each, some people prefer one to the other no matter what they're drinking oh, and pricier doesn't guarantee better. mine usually cost b/t 10-12 dollars for a bottle. i prefer red wine, and usually get the brand Barefoot from Kroger, any major grocery
