wine
my hubby and i are more beer and liquor drinkers, but i was thinking about trying some kind of wine for thanksgiving. what do you recommend??

If you prefer something a little drier, but still light, go with a Chardonnay or a Pinot Grigio. Rose/bluse are also good; Sutter Home makes a decent one and it's pretty inexpensive. If you want something heavier (if you're used to beer, you might liek this better), go with a Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignn, and even fuller would be a Pinot Noir or a Shiraz.

Pinot Grigio goes nicely with poultry, IMHO. Head to your local specialty wine store for suggestions. If you want to go the cheap, easy, and utterly drinkable route, Barefoot winery has a tasty one available.
