Jump for Joy I changed my hairs... A LOT

    Advertisements
So I started out with this:

And then I decided to go RED. Like REALLY red!

But, because the last ooh... 6-7" of my hair has been dyed like nine thousand times.... it was kinda gross looking and a weird burnt orange look. Like it just wouldn't lift any more. So we decided to go ALL OUT!

And this is what I ended up with. Yes, it really is that bright. I love it. I love the cut as well, altho I'm still working to get used to having short hair again. I feel so freakin' fierce and sassy!

BLT -- HALP with maintenance tips! Michael (the dream pop in my photos told me to do a deep conditioning mixed with like a 'manic panic' red every two weeks to help keep the color vibrant.

    Thanks for looking!

    LOVEEEEE.

Wash with cold water (as cold as you can stand) and condition only. Shampoo a few times a week.

I really do love it. Actually, I adore my stylist more than anything. He's so freaking talented, and he's a good friend of mine.
He was having a full blown freakout yesterday when the owner & partner of Ted Gibson Salon (NYC) and a guy from up in L'Oreal Paris liked our photos.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get used to just having short hair again because wow... what a change. But it's a good thing. It feels so much healthier.

DH loves it. He said I remind him of Black Widow from the Avengers. LOL

GAAAHHHH I LOVE IT! You look fabulous!!!

    No.

    No manic panic.

Manic Panic is NOT hair dye, it's a poor substitute for undeducated souls that don't know better.

Getchu some special effects from amazon or ebay. Only shampoo if you have product in your hair or every 3 days. If it's the 3 day shampoo, roots only, not all the hair. You want to get the natural oil out. Rinse, then turn the water up and hit your hair with hot water only. THEN put conditioner in, condition DAILY. I recommend Ion brand or Garnier Fructis. Let the conditioner sit and then rinse with cool/cold water to seal down the hair shaft and lock in the color more. You can also get these little vials of things and shampoo and conditioner that are made for blondes and redheads. Get the readhead one and use that too.
