    I can't decide on a color!

I'm going to get my hair cut tomorrow and I'm doing something like this:

I didn't want to cut it short but I wanted something different so I'm doing a bang and getting the length trimmed. My predicament right now is I can't figure out what color I want to dye my hair. I've always had darker hair with auburn hues or brown. With winter coming up soon I wanted to stay dark but maybe go more red.

Butttt I can't decide and I keep bouncing back and forth so I'm asking opinions

This is what my hair color if vaguely right now. It usually seems a lot lighter in pictures.

And this is somewhat the color I'm thinking of but again, super indecisive.

    I need opinions!!

I love the red/auburn and I think it would look great on you. I think your skin is just fair enough and your eyes are perfectly blue for that tone. Remember that red will fade quickly so be ready for touch ups!

I that color would look fabulous on you but it's going to fade like woah! Any sort of artificial red is going to fade super quick (I've had it several times).

That's my only peeve with auburn is it fades! I had naturally red hair when I was a baby and it faded to blonde and then got progressively darker as I got older but any time I dye my hair it has a reddish tint to it so the auburn holds a little longer than some but it does eventually fade!

I love that red, it's so versatile. It is the worst of the reds for fading but I usually managed to have my roots showing before it faded too badly. My trick is, I flip my head upside down and wash my hair upside down so that my body doesn't feel the cold cold water. Crazy but it worked for me. That and Redken if you can afford it. I went the cheaper route with Herbal Essences cleansing conditioner and Ion's Color Defense Clarifying shampoo on the occasions you feel you need a deeper clean. Ion also makes a sun spray that I thought worked well and made my hair feel really nice. Both are super cheap at Sally's Beauty. I say dive in! It's a great fall/winter color!

Put a little of the dye in your conditioner. Then when you use that it'll help keep the color lasting longer.
