Where do you get your businesss outfits?

I just accepted a new job offer, and the policy is very business. Pant suits, skirt suits, etc.

The place I work at now is business casual, so a lot of the times it is khakis with a nice shirt, or something like that.

I need to go shopping! Where do you go to buy work clothes?

Express? Only with a coupon code though. They send them out so often it's not worth paying full price for anything.

Marshall's and The Limited are my go-to stores. The Limited can be a little pricey but it's wonderful quality and I never have a problem finding things I like. Sign up for their emails and you'll get coupons, they have sales allllll the time.

Express is my go to, and yes, they send coupons so often, so try to get your hands on one before you go.

Even withins "slacks and skirts", there's a lot of variation about what is acceptable. At some places, an express skirt pencil skirt made of a cotton stretch twill would be fine. In others, it would be grossly out of place and you need fabrics like wool. So it really depends on just how nice it needs to be.

That said, I pretty much live at Nordstrom.com. They have everything and their sales (you just missed the big one) are great. Sure, some of their stuff is insanely pricey ($1900 for a dress), but they have plenty of mid-range stuff as well.

A pencil skirt made of stretch cotton, would not be acceptable.

I went and bought a few suits at Belk when they opened today, and I bought a few pairs of slacks too.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I am going to try Kohl's for some tops to go with the slacks. I am feeling really overwhelmed, as I feel I need a whole new wardrobe.

I'm a Calvin Klein whore because I like the clean lines. I constantly find awesome deals on CK suits at Ross and Burlington coat factory. They have tahari, Nine West, Anne Klein suits from time to time as well.
