At what temperature is it socially acceptable to wear boots?

The high for today is supposed to be 66. I'm trying to decide if that's cold enough to wear boots without looking ridiculous. In case it matters, I live in Florida so 66 is somewhat chilly for us.

Yep, boots are socially acceptable today. Its cold. I will be wearing a giant fuzzy sweatshirt when I leave in a bit. The heater just turned off after warming up the house because it got so cold last night. Brrrrr!

Definitely! I live in the south too, and as soon as it is fall it is socially acceptable to wear boots here.

Have you ever worn uggs? They're hideous until you wear them and then they're beautiful because they're so cozy. I'm wearing mine rn

I wear boots whenever I want to. I don't care what the temperature is lol. 66 is definitely chilly enough for boots in Florida though, my grandma is in a goddamn parka in that weather.

I don't think temps matter at all. I think they are seasonal, but if it is 75* in the fall or winter and someone wears boots, I don't think that's odd.

And yeah, Uggs may be hideous and I mocked people who wore them with skirts and tank tops in San Diego, but I haven't found a warm boot, including my Sorels. When its 25*F out and I'm walking around a Christmas market for 3 hours, I don't really care if I look like a Yeti from the knees down.

that's what I picture with Uggs, maybe because of where I live but people don't wear them when it's actually cold, only with shorts/tank tops/skirts which seems so odd to me!

As long as you aren't talking about good ole snow boots, I think you are fine.

...But in contrast for weather, it is 22 degrees this morning, and I'm wearing flats For me boots only come out with the snow!
