    Dress help!

    Advertisements
He asked me to go to prom with him, and I said yes!!!

My husband is a recruiter, and one of his high schools needed more chaperones. It was a good opportunity for him to get in with the school and with the kids, so DH volunteered. He is wearing his blues. But what do I wear?

What do chaperones wear to prom? I don't know what people wear to prom these days. It's been more than ten years since I went to my senior prom. I also feel like if he wears dress blues, then I should wear a formal gown because dress blues are formal. DH wants me to wear a business skirt suit. I have also read lbd is acceptable for female chaperones. What do you think? What do chaperones wear to prom?

I've never been to a prom but I would think something like a lbd would work fine. You don't want to be mistaken for a student attending but it would match his blues better than a business skirt.

The chaperones I seen wore long formal dresses, whatever feels comfortable go with it.

I would not wear a long prom dress, but as stated a little black dress or a nice cocktail dress would suit.
