    Dress for husband's commissioning

Do you think that this dress would be appropriate for me to wear to my husband's Officer commissioning in June? I was thinking that the grey might be best for the occasion. What do you think?

i like the dress but do not like the corsage back. i think it gives the dress a different kind of style like the front. other than that i like it in blue

But you could maybe wear a shawl/cardigan/something appropriate to cover up the back?

I think any color would be fine. No need to go gray, unless that's the color you like most.

It's a little tough to tell from the photo, but it might be borderline too dressy, so if you go with it, I'd keep it very casual with my accessories. You don't want to look like you are going to prom or a cocktail party, so I'd wear flats, bring a cardigan in case it is chilly, and keep any other accessories away from being sparkly or dressy.

I happen to LOVE the dress. I would carry a sweater/shawl if you feel the need to cover up.

i don't really like the dress but i think it would be fine. i don't get what the big deal is about having a corset back as long as it's sundressy rather than cocktaily. looks cotton or something so i get the right vibe from it.

To me it looks like chiffon, which is why I said it might be too dressy.
