    Help Horrible tan lines!

    Advertisements
So a week ago I was outdoors with my oil painting class for several hours. This was not the first time, but that day I had changed into a shirt with a drop-back last minute (it was quite hot when I stepped out of the house, so I turned around and changed) and forgot to put sunscreen on. I tan reaaaal easy... Ended up with a big rectangle on my back

So I tried to slowly tan it back, it's fading bit by bit, but then when I asked my mom to help me put on sunscreen one day before I was going on a bike ride with a tank top, she was all sloppy and uneven about it and I have these blotches on my shoulders now! They are pretty noticeable, and they look SO BAD! How on earth will I be able to have such hideous shoulders showing from my dress at DF's graduation in 2.5 weeks?

I've been exfoiliating, and just tried doing a lemon-juice treatment on the tanned areas last night, to try to bleach and fade the tan quicker. I'm afraid to try to even it out with sunscreen now... the tanned areas and wierd and streaky on my shoulders and I don't want to be any tanner (DF likes light skin, until this summer I have never tried tanning on purpose because I know it hurts the skin and I don't like it anyway ). I've heard that depilatory creams work better than lemon-juice on lightening the tans...

Anyone have any tips or experience on this? I just want it to go away before I see DF I know he won't love me less for my wierd tan lines, but I want to look good for him, of course

I have no help for you. I got some awful tan lines from my newest bathing suit. A huge V shape on my chest, above my boobs.
I found some sunless tanning lotion, made my Nutrogena, but it didn't really help at all

You can go to a salon and get a spray tan.

You don't have to go dark and it can even stuff out for you.

How long do they usually last?

Depending on if you exfoliate beforehand, use the tanning bed too, etc....they can last for a bit. Mine are usually 7-10 days.
