How much does your stylist charge for color?

I talked to my stylist about doing the darker color underneath from my other thread and it is going to be $95 JUST for color....does that sound right? That sounds REALLY expensive to me.... but I also have never colored my hair before so I don't know prices....

Now I don't think I will be doing that unless I attempt myself or with a friend.... but that sounds scary

    That sounds way too expensive.

The salon that my SIL works at charges around, maybe, $50 or so?

That's a lot! Is it like a day spa setting.

The most I pay is 60 and that's at a retro shop (in other words a bit more costly as it's specialty)

Last time I got a cut and color it was maybe $135/$150 I think. Still $95 sounds a bit pricey to me for just a color.

I definitely think that's way too much. Are there any other stylists in your area that you would trust? Depending on what you're doing, doing it yourself could be easy peasy, but then again you run the risk of messing it up and having to pay for someone to fix it. Which, if you don't trust anyone else and that lady's price for JUST the color is $95 then the cost to fix it might be way out of the ballpark

I think it depends where you go and how extensive the work is. My friend had a bunch of streaky shit in her hair and was charged $130 to color it because it was going to take more work.

This is the first girl around here that I have found who remotely knows what she is doing I think I will just go with my other option for change and cut it all off.

I pay 110 for an all over foil highlight. All over color is usually cheaper because it's easier, but since its not your whole head that does sound a little pricey.
