    HAIR DYE EMERGENCY QUESTION

    Advertisements
How do I get a purple hair dye stain out of a) my tub and b) my skin??

I tried to dye my hair purple and now I am seriously regretting it. Everything was fine til I took a shower to rinse it and now most of my body is BLUE and my tub is BLUE. Shampoo is not getting the stains out, though that's what I normally use.

Also wondering your opinion of how girls look with shaved heads and what the grow out process is like. I really think I just need to start fresh with my hair.

1.) mr. clean magic eracers or clorox wipes
2.) pick a cute super short hair style if you really hate it
3.) haven't seen you around , hope everything is going ok

If you don't want to shave your head than you might have to fork out the money for a salon color repair. For your tub if bleach or other heavy cleaners don't work than maybe a poultice of baking soda and lemon juice. Mix it into a paste, cake on, cover with plastic wrap, let it sit over night. Body? Not so sure. .

I will try clorox wipes now

I don't necessarily hate it...just sick of nothing going right with it I think once this purple fades I will go back to my natural brown and get a pixie cut or something to grow out the nice healthy hair.

Everything is okay It would be better if I wasn't blue, though!

The color in my hair doesn't actually seem that bad so maybe I'll keep my hair. I'm just waiting for it to dry. Lately everything I try to do to my hair gets all messed up somehow. I am not a happy camper. Thanks for the tips though! I figure I can just not leave the house for a few days til the color in my skin fades

You can use alcohol wipes too to get the dye out, like Oxy pads or rubbing alcohol.

we always used antibacterial gel to get weird colors out of our sinks
i think a shaved head can look really cute, but most people really dont realize how long it takes to grow a full head of hair again! and you have to do all sorts of adjusting and trimming while it's growing in.

That's what I ended up using to get it off my face. It worked! My hands are like... permanent though.

    I'll give it a shot

I remember last time I cut it short the growing out process was awful. I wouldn't looks forward to doing that again.

Do you have a pumice stone? That might work to get the dye out of your skin.

    I do not.

I figure it will fade over the next few days anyway. I don't have anywhere to be so I can wait! I'm more worried about the tub. If that stain doesn't come out it will be an issue.

They sell wipes for removing hair color from your skin at Sally's. If you could get someone to go snag some of those for you, they might help! I personally use peroxide on a little bit of tissue or something. It helps a little.

    love me some Maegan
