    Homemade Hair Remedies?

    Advertisements
Do you know of any? My hair is super thick and I have a lot of it, so it's hard to get it soft (shut up, pervs ).

Anyone know of any treatments I can make?

I just read about using avocado oil, or coconut oil on your hair. Also heard about using coconut milk on your hair also. All I did for the avocado oil treatment was put it on my dry hair until it was thoroughly wet, put hot water in the tub (just enough for a towel to soak up), soaked the towel in the hot water, wrung the towel out, and wrap it on my head. I don't remember how long i left it on for, I think it was until the towel wasn't warm anymore. Then you can shampoo and conditioner as usual.

I used the avocado hot oil treatment yesterday and it made my hair SO soft. I'm using the coconut milk treatment today, but its still in so I don't know the results yet.

Well, I guess I have nothing to add....

I've heard that you shouldn't brush your hair when it's wet. Also, avacado oil is supposed to help a lot. I use store stuff so I've never tried it but good luck

I've also done olive oil treatments a couple times I made sure to use extra virgin organic olive oil. It worked pretty well

Just mayo? Have you done this before? I can't help but be skeptical because of how gross this will be!

I'll have to go out to the store tomorrow (shit storm outside right now) to buy oil for the other suggestions! Thank you

I have really thick hair too and my ends used to get really dry. Now once a month I mix a cup of whole milk and a teaspoon of honey and put it in my hair (roots to ends) and rinse after 15 minutes. It makes my hair really soft and not tangly.

I also put avocado or almond oil on my hands, then run it through my hair (avoid the roots!) when I get out of the shower. My hair ends up being soft and really shiny.
