So I'm just thinking way way ahead, but would a dress like this work for a military ball?

Its an elegant look and I think it would be great. I dont see anything that would be inappropriate about it.

I consider jersey to be a pretty informal fabric- I wouldn't wear it to a ball, personally. If it were the exact same dress in satin though, I would say it's fine. So I think it's 50/50!

The style of the dress is perfect, but the fabric is too casual in my opinion.

This. I think the style of the dress would be fine, but I wouldn't think of jersey fabric being formal enough. It's a very nice dress though!

Fabric?! Really?! Haha shows how much I pay attention to detail. Its a cute style but if PPs say the fabric is too casual then maybe you can take a look at something similar

Is it "Matte Jersey" or just regular jersey? If it's Matte Jersey the the fabric is totally fine for a formal event - but regular jersey, yeah not so much....

The cut, color, and overall style is very classy and elegant though. Love the look!!!
