You can ice your brow area before hand so you don't feel as much pain. And try not to over pluck and also try not to pick at the skin. You can also apply an eye cream or moisturizer afterwards to help with pain and such that may occur afterwards.

Use YouTube. There's videos on there of gurus that teach you how to pluck/where your arch should be/where your eyebrow should start and end.

Icing will actually make it more difficult. Its better to get the skin warm to open everything up, like after a shower.

OP, theres some sort of rule with a pencil that I saw a while ago in a magazine...I'll see if I can find it. It shows you the shape and width your eyebrows should be based on your nose or something.

I'd really appreciate that I can kind of see where my arch is but I don't want to risk it.

How To Shape Your Eyebrows Like a Pro!

Heres a blog with the general rules to follow. You want to try and find your natural arch. Like I have a very high arch, some people have straighter ones.

Have you ever had your eyebrows waxed by a professional? They are trained to see your natural arch, and follow it. Once you see how a professional does it, its easier to see how to do it yourself.
