    If I needed....

    Advertisements
A consultant, say for clothes, for a "professional" wardrobe, where would I go about getting one?

I graduate in May and I sure as shit don't have anything to go to interviews in currently. I mean, I don't have any interviews set up yet, but here's hoping I have a lot of them!

I'm just so lost on clothing outside of "casual".. and I want a career dammit! I know it'll be worth it.. convincing DH is another thing. We don't have the money now, but like I said, I feel as though, when the time is appropriate (aka MAY, upon graduation), the investment would be well spent.

    You're welcome.

A lot of stores will help you, the sales consultant will help find the type of thing you are looking for. I'm not sure which stores do it for sure, but I shop at Dots, Lane Bryant and sometimes torrid and they help you find certain types(casual, night out, career). Maybe you can start by picking a store you like and going to see if they can help.

I have no idea where you would find a consoltant, but try shopping in stores you're not used to for more business like clothes.

I always dress really casual, but I had to step it up for teaching. I get most of my "teacher clothes" in New York and Co and H&M. They have more formal clothes... dress pants and jackets.

I wish I could help more, but that's all I got

You also don't need a ton of things right away. Maybe two bottoms, 3 or 4 tops and some shoes and a cardigan or two. You could get it all easily for $100. I have quite a few pieces of business appropriate attire from Kohls.

i wouldn't bother with a consultant. it's not too hard to make yourself a basic professional wardrobe. got to express, h&m, NY&co, banana republic type places and find a cut of slacks you like. buy them in black, gray, and a camel color. then fill in the top with camis and sweaters or button-ups
