I'm like you. I have a little longer than shoulder length hair and it's straight/wavy. I just air dry and then maybe straighten. I've always had dry, frizzy, poofy hair.

    Three things:

    1. I use Suave Sleek shampoo and conditioner and I found that helps my hair a lot.

    2. I also use "got2b smooth operator with cashmere: smoothing lustre lotion" on my hair. That product works wonders! If anything, try that product out.

    3. Last, I never leave my hair wrapped up in a towel because I found that made my hair more dry and poofy. Not sure that you do that, but just in case

I look like a dang poodle when I don't do anything to my hair. What I do is...

Wash with Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner.
After the shower, wrap my hair in a towel and allow to sit for 30 minutes (almost like an air dry, but less frizz).
Put a dollop of Aveda Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener and two pumps of Aveda Light Elements Smoothing Fluid on my hands, rub them together, then distribute evenly throughout my hair.
Blow dry on medium heat, angling the drier downward and keeping at least a foot distance from my hair.
    Then I straighten or curl

Works everytime at killing the frizz!
