    Squadron Christmas Party

    Advertisements
So if you were attending a Squadron Christmas (or holiday, ours is actually called Christmas) Party with no dress code specified, what would you assume to be appropriate? I'm guessing cocktail dress, and I would rather be slightly overdressed than underdressed, but I would also rather be underdressed than WAY overdressed.

    What do you think?

Uniforms aren't required, so I can't plan based on that.

I would say cocktail would be a safe bet. The perfect bridge between formal formal and casual.

Is it at a home or location specified? Usually we wear nice Christmas/holiday dresses or nice pants suits with a holiday theme or holiday feel to them. guys wear slacks and a nice shirt or sweater unless otherwise stated.

Edited to add ---This is for the major Squadron or Battalion party. We usually have things to do for the kids and a nice meal. People come wearing anything from nice casual to more fancy Christmas attire.

I would wear a pair of black pants/slacks/jeans and a christmas inspired top (like a red blouse)...

It's at the Veterans of Foreign Wars banquet facility, so I'm thinking the venue is semi-formalish. I haven't seen the VFW so I'm not positive.
