Update #2: I want this dress...

    Advertisements
Brown and White Giraffe Print Skirt White Shirt Dress- Fifth Ave

But I can't afford it, so I decided to make one instead. I have drafted a pattern and everything and instead of doing brown and white, I am doing black and white, will wear with cute black pumps or black peep toe wedges (haven't decided yet)

Anyway, With making it, I have altered it a little. It will be sleeveless and I can't decide on if I want to make it a dress or a high waist skirt and top.

    opinions?

I'd make it a high-waist skirt, that way you can pair other things with it if you want! I wish I knew how to sew.

Oh my gosh I love that dress I agree with no sleeves. As for dress or high waist skirt... I dont have much of an opinion there... I personally prefer whatever stays in place the best and doesnt ride or bunch. I've never worn a high skirt actually...

I would personally prefer it in a dress, just for comfort. High-waisted skirts seem to ride up on me.
But the skirt would be sooo much cuter...

I say skirt and top, too. That way you can mix and match!

High Waist Skirt because you could always add more accessories to it. I am learning to sew and I have no idea how to even draw a pattern to do what you are doing.

I bet you are so talented at sewing.

I love the sleeves too, but the template I am using doesn't have sleeves and I hate drafting them to fit, it's a pain.

I kind of like it as a dress, but a skirt could be really cute too. Then you could wear it with other shirts.
