I do have one. There have been a million threads about the cost/pain of waxing. I don't find waxing to be painful at all, so maybe I can do it at home. I had my bikini waxed once and it didn't hurt at all.

From experience I would not do it myself, it really hurts and if not done right you can do some damage.

I tried one of the at home wax kits one time.. All it did was this:

    -heat wax
    -put wax on
    -put strip on
    -strip off

Oh wait.. the strip off part didn't strip ANYTHING.. it just peeled off, and then the wax hardened and I had hard wax on my hoohah that was like.. hardened there and I got the lovely experience of sitting and like.. picking hard wax off for like 2 hours. Hah.

I woulnd't recommend getting one.. I'd just go somewhere to get it done. Especially if the nakey-ness doesn't bother you. But, I mean, if you have heard more success stories than stories like mine, go for it! I could just be an idiot who completely fails at it!

    Perhaps it wasn't heated enough?
