Taking your make up off before bed

    Advertisements
I never take my make up off with a make up remover pad before I go to bed. I just wash my face in the shower, but that usually doesnt get off the eyeliner. Is that bad for your skin? Whats the best thing to do? Does it matter?

i do the same thing to. i heard its bad cause eventually your eyeliner will start making the area around your eyes darker. but i have a bad habit of just taking it off w/ eye makeup remover before i shower the next day. i guess i should stop being lazy!

Also not taking it off... well the makeup can clog the pores there and cause styes. As well as can cause eye infections too.

That is why try to take mine off nightly.

Get eye and lip makeup remover. Cover girl has it for cheap (and it works well) and than of course there are expensive brands.

If you are going to do it in the shower you need to use a makeup removal wash. I use clinique's foaming facewash and it removes makeup as well as washing my face.

But yeah it can be bad for your skin and eyes. You need to get into a nightly routine of wash, tone, moisturize.

That and having excessive oil skin also clogs the pores and makes styes( I get them often).

I have a face wash I use, and a mostiourizer and I will start using the make up removal I have. Whats a good toner? I'm not sure I even know what that is. I used to use pro active and that had a toner but then it started making my skin worse so I stopped using it on my face.
