Help Need Help with Curls for tonight!!

    Advertisements
Ok so I need advice ASAP for doing my curls tonight. I have straight thick hair which sometimes holds curls really really well and others not so much (and no I don't remember who did what to keep them or not keep them) and my friend is curling my hair tonight so here's the list of products I already have (and have no money to buy new).

Satinique (amway) aerosol hairspray (it's probably a little old but I'm pretty sure it still works)
    Dove voulmizing mousse
A little bit of John Frieda frizz-ease hair gel
L'Oreal Studio highlights Pumping Curls - Curl Refreshing Spray
L'Oreal Studio highlights Lasing Curls - Curl Scrunching Gel

It's 1:30 here and I haven't taken a shower yet .. not sure if I should wash my hair or not.. but my friend is curling my hair around 6. Any tips or advice on what order or what I should do?

I find my hair curls better with unwashed hair (not like icky unwashed, but, day old KWIM?)

And if you're gonna hairspray it afterwards, tip your head upside down and spray down your roots.
I have alot of trouble trying to get my hair to hold a curl but these 2 normally work well.

DONT WASH YOUR HAIR! it will make it too soft, the curls will hold much better on unwashed hair.
Gotta look this life in the eye.

Hm interesting ... I'm using a curling iron for big curls an going to have DB use hair spray as I unroll it ... I'm hoping that works for long wavey curls ... I too heard better to use hair that's not washed right away like one day old ... But well see how it turns out my hair is thin an naturally wavey but not like the pretty kind like frizzy out of control so I straighten it normally hopefully your hair & my thing works tonight!!!

I'm washing my hair tonight.... but thats becasue I really need a shower

But I usually put mousse in my hair then blow dry it.... turn my curling iron on an wait a bit so it gets really hot. Then right before I curl I add just a little bit more mousse, curl and then spray it with hair spray when done.

    It usually holds for me.

My hair wont curl but for my wedding they used aqua net hairdspray and they held for 2 hours so I'd give that a try

I think this is what we're going to do.. but I bought these L'oreal products and they smell good but I don't know if they work or when to use them if I do use them.. or if I should just stick with mouse and hairspray.
