Who can help me with my hair!!!??? UPDATED WITH PIC

    Advertisements
I am going to have my hair cut tomorrow, i was thinking only a little off the bottom since DH likes it long. I really want to get it colored but my old hairstylist said that she wont do it. I really dont want to risk anything but i need a new color!! I was thinking maybe red highlights and going a shade darker to a medium dark brown???? What do you guys think?

Here is how i have it now

So i love my new hair (hahaha even though i only got a trim) but i love the color and its a natural plant color without any chemicals, the stylist said it wont last that long but i dont care!!!

Why won't the old colorist not color it? That probably means something bad may happen to your hair if she tries... so it may not be a good idea to do it...

OH. Yeah, it depends on the color brand, some brands are too strong in chemicals and it just might not be a good idea.

What you COULD do, however, is find a brand that has less chemicals in it that will be safer for you and your baby. You could go and pick some out (or have her go to Armstrong McCall and pick it up for you) and you guys could use that special color just until your baby is born.

If she doesn't think it would be a good idea to use the color she usually uses, I think it would be best to follow her advice and find an alternative. Better safe than sorry!

Maybe use a demi-permanent color??? My good friend does that and it doesn't have the same harsh chemicals a semi or permanent color has. And her hair is ALWAYS a gorgeous color (she goes with dark reds, etc). Plus if you're going darker I think it'd definitely work (I guess it just deposits color, it doesn't lift it). You could probably do it yourself too and I think it might be less harmful because it's less chemical-y.

I'd check it out. My friend gets her hair color from Sally's.

Everyone says if you wanna color your hair when pregnant go to a salon but it is a more ventilated area.

i took infancy this past semester and in my text book it showed research says then as long as your in a well aired area and that you are through your first trimester, your are safe to color your hair as well as do your nails/paint them.
