    So, I have an issue...

I am not good with hair. At all. I can spot what looks good on other people, but styling hair = scary for me. And my hair HATES holding a style.

Thing is, Yule is Monday. This involves me getting all pretty, dressed up and what not. I have no clue what to do with my hair. This is BAD.

For those who don't know what it looks like normally, here's a visual:

If it gets in the way, I pull it into a ponytail.

When I had longer hair, I could have braided it or something. It's barely long enough to look decent in a braid. And I can't afford to get it styled, so I'm stuck with my curling iron, my hair dryer and my straightener.

    TIA for the advice, ladies.

Can your hair hold a curl? Do you want to wear it up? Or down? What are you going to be wearing?

I will be wearing a black, floor-length dress with a square neckline... with black pants underneath, since I have to walk to the venue where we're holding our rit and it'll be chilly. I'm thinking wearing at least partly up, so that it doesn't take my focus off what we're doing. And it takes mucho hairspray to make my hair hold curl. (Though I have been thinking of buying a can, as I currently own no hairspray.)

Here's some styles that I like. I'm a big fan of the side pony tail...For the curly style, curl your hair with either rollers or a curling iron (I prefer the curling iron, just hold it vertically and wrap your hair around it). Spray each section with hairspray after you curl it so the curl will hold. Back comb your hair to add volume, then comb it (gently!) to the side and secure with a hair tie.

This is a straighter style with a little pouf in the back. Just back comb your hair then pin half of it up, and put the rest in a low pony. Wrap a section of your hair around the pony tail and secure it with a bobby pin.
