    Hair dying question

    Advertisements
I want to dye my hair this weekend and I'm unsure how many boxes to buy. My hair is a couple inches past my shoulders, should I buy one or two boxes? Thanks.

My hair was always hard to cover it all at that length with just one box. I usually pick up 2 to be on the safe side so I dont have spots

I always buy 2, no matter what.. If it only takes 1, then I have one for next time.. LOL But usually mine takes 1.5 and its just past my shoulders and thin.

Just an FYI that I try to pass along to everyone. Boxed color is horrible on your hair. Some contain metallic dyes that can cause breakage. You'll have a lot healthier hair if you go to Sally's and spend a little (like $5-$10) more on the color that the salons buy. You'll need to buy the color and the developer, plus the bottle and gloves, and it usually ends up costing about $15. I would buy two boxes just to be on the safe side, that's what I usually use but I have really thick hair.

Kinda depends on how thick your hair is... mine is pretty thick and a couple inches past my shoulders so i buy two boxes
