    Cheongsam & Ebay

    Advertisements
I'm on the prowl for a couple of these beautiful dresses. Been contemplating hitting up ebay for them. I have never bought clothing from ebay before and I was wondering if anyone has? Is it worth it? Seems like it would save me quite a bit of money from buying them from the store that I was looking at. I just dont know

Oh geez these siza charts are outrageous...really.

Ok so going by the fact that the size charts are for clothes and not your body measurements....Grrr I am kinda in between on certain measurements. Umm a medium or large...I cant figure it out lol

It is really best to buy one in person because of the size differences.

Mine is a Large that has been altered to a 25 in waist.

I wouldn't trust to buy one on EBay. I bought mine from my usual seamstress in Texas. She sold them in store, and it took 2 fittings to get it right.

Length I didn't need to have hemmed, but we had to take the waist in and let the chest out a bit.

Buying one in person is impossible for me. But I already knew I would have to alter it in the waist even if I would have gotten a small. Guess I will just have to suck it up and drive 4hours to Albuquerque or head to Dallas.

Or just not get one, they are just so damn cute.

I doubt you would have to take a small in. As a true small is for a small child. Can you post a photo of yourself? I could probably tell you what size you are. As I've bought a few in the past

Oh geez lemme see if I can find one...I was going to order a large and just get it altered, but now I am leery of ordering one at all.

I wouldn't buy one off of EBay. Since the material is thin as it is, I'd rather inspect it myself. Especially if you must get it altered. That and I prefer a quality one and its difficult to check things on EBay. With as thin as the material is, if its not well made you'll see the extra material on seams on less quality ones.
