Quick Nail Question!! - Beauty & Fashion

I'm about to paint my nails for the ball.

My dress is a deep red (more garnet than ruby).

My necklace and shoes are gold.

My wrap and purse are black.

My makeup is smokey black (with a hint of gold) eyes and minimal reddish lips.

I'm going to french-tip my nails (and do my toesies, but they can't be seen so it doesn't really matter). Should I do red like my dress or gold like my accessories?!?

I say red just b/c I've never seen gold nail polish on before. But I'm not the best to ask because I never paint my finger nails, just my toes.

lol thanks. The gold would definitely be different.

If it helps - I was planning on red, but I didn't realize I even had gold polish, so now I'm all confuzzled and

'cos it's time to paint them.

I'm not a fan of gold nail polish. I'm not sure if it can be made to look elegant.

im kind of confused

if you are asking what to do for your toes id do french pedi on those too, or for your nails id do french tip. metallic nail polish just drives me crazy for some reason and i think red would be too red but thats just me!

It's for my fingernails. I have long fingernails and I like to french tip them.

Thanks for the votes so far - that was kinda my worry if the gold could look elegant or not? The red is pretty rich, so I think it'll be okay.

My toes are gold now though.

They're going to be hidden in pumps anyway.

Are you doing colored fingernails or toenails?

I'd do french tips for your nails (just white- no color) and dark red for your toes.

Heh. I don't think I own white nail polish. But I could leave them unpainted maybe?
