Can you help me find shoes and accessories for this dress?

    I bought this dress:

    http://www.target.com/Merona-Ponte-T...0Waist%20Dress

yesterday (I can't save an image of it. Bah.) to wear around Christmastime, and I need help accessorizing it. I also need suggestions for shoes. I am so fashion-impaired, but I ADORE the dress. For the first time in my life, I think it actually looks better on me than on the model. I have short thighs and long calves so it's slightly longer on me than on the model, and I also have bigger boobies so the waistline sits slightly higher.

It's a very dark black, and the buttons are clear/silver. Any suggestions?

ETA: I'll be wearing it in Colorado in December, so I would prefer less strappy, more boot-ish shoes.

Are you wanting to really dress it up or no?

Please don't laugh at me... I would keep it simple with pearls.

As for shoes/boots, off to look.

    BTW: the dress!

Its probably not a store real adults frequent that often but its pretty inexpensive

And I think it would give it a nice Pizzazz

I would wear super dark purple or gray tights with it and these booties...

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm looking through them all. And Saigon- I'll probably be wearing it to some sort of Christmas party, so dressing it up is good!

If you are wearing it around X-Mas I'd go with RED RED RED! Black and red are power colors and exude confidence. I know it's cold around that time, but that dress would look awesome with a pea coat so you are covered there. Maybe something like:
    http://www.target.com/Mossimo-Isha-S...searchSize=150

And you can even wear that with pearls as suggested earlier. Matters how dressy you want to go to be honest.

Edit: I know you said more bootish, but with that dress you have to be careful. I really don't see it as a hooch boot dress...just my opinion.

Hooch boot, I love it! Yeah I prefer more of an ankle boot, but not one with a too high heel because it will probably be snowy and I'm also just barely shorter than my husband and quite fatter, and I prefer not to dwarf him in every direction.
