    MOISTURIZE!

That's your skin producing oil to compensate for being so dry.

What I did was buy those oil absorbing sheets. I use one and then spray my face with a refresher spray from mark. It's supposed to be that your face makes oil when it needs it. So keeping your face moisturized helps.

You don't think it needs to be moisturized because you've never moisturized? Silly Jilly, that's even more reason to do it.

I had awful breakouts/oil until I started moisturizing. It's counter-intuitive but trust me it works. Try it for a week or so and see how it goes.

    Cetaphil and Aveeno are amazing.

I've just never had to mosturize, my skin was never dry and if it was I put on clinque mosturizer (which is supposed to be da best) and it left my skin oily like it is now...which is why I say no to mosturizers

i have sever acne prone skin, and it's oily. astringents made my skin worse..and enlarged my pores like you would not believe...i started moisturizing, and it's not a cure all, but heck, it sure does make a difference.

I understand. Was the clinique moisturizer oil free? If not, you might try one that is. It's different chemicals and won't feel slimy.

If you're looking for a good oil fighting cleanser, Cetaphil is amazing. I really can't tell people that enough. It's good for all skin types but mine was oily and it's worked wonders. You do have to moisturize with it though. I use the Cetaphil kind but I imagine Aveeno is also good. They might even have a facial cleanser.
