    Help Getting your nails done.

    Advertisements
I'd love to treat myself to this.. before Tru comes. I think I deserve it. But I'm not made of money.

All I want is some nice french tips (I think that's what they're called. I've only got my nails done twice EVAh!).....

    So... help a sista out.

Where is a decently priced place to go?

price varies depending if you want acrylics or have them do the french tip on your real nail.

i like both. the acrylics will last longer because the tips on your real nails are just usually painted on.
For me acrylic full set (both hands) is around $24
Regular manicure with tips is about $15

For french on your real nails I have paid between $8-15. Those are just your run of the mill sidewalk/strip mall places. For fancy schmancy it can be up to $20. If I go el cheapo I bring along my own supplies.

I am not a fan of tips but they do look nice on other people.

I would say if you have decent length nails, go with getting the French manicure on your natural nails. It doesn't cost nearly as much, your natural nails will be much healthier in the long run, and you won't have to worry about getting them filled in a couple of weeks. But that's just me.

I got mine done at Walmart for $25 before and I liked them.
The thing about getting my nails done personally, I can't stand them being up there for more than 2 weeks and when they come off my nails are ruined. Before DH's graduation in May I bought some the the Kiss glue on nails from Kmart for about $5 I think. I LOVE THESE. You can cut them/file any way you want before you glue them up there and they last up to a week and the best part is my nails are perfectly fine afterwards.

I've used the Kiss nails too! I can't keep fake nails on because of my job, they fall off within a week between bathing dogs and nail grinding and clippers and such. But the Kiss ones look just as well, and they hold up pretty well actually!

when I had funds I used to get my nails done all the time, but they do ruin your natural nail and it takes weeks sometimes months before the nail is back to normal. I've paid as cheap as 15 bucks for a full set french tip ( which is usually more because they use the white tip, no paint, and the pink powder) and as much as 30. what starts to get costly are the fills which can cost 10-15 every 2 weeks.

and like crystal said if your natural nails are long enough, just get a manicure done with a french tip

    I will miss you SOS...
