    Leisure Pants?

    Advertisements
What the heck are 'leisure pants'? DH keeps asking me to buy him some for R&R. When I think of 'leisure pants' I think of linen pants. We want something we can wear out in town casually, or can walk down the beach in.

    Are these 'leisure pants'?

When I think of leisure pants I see seventies polyester suits.

The pants you posted are cool. I'd guess he means dockers type of pants or Khakis?

Of course, if he doesn't elaborate further this is your big chance to buy him pants you always wanted him to wear. "Honey, I thought you meant speedos when you said leisure pants."

Thanks! Now, what kind of shirt should I get him? He wants the type of shirt that I am sure you are thinking of with the polyester suits. I just don't know where to find them. I wanted a pink shirt but I'm not sure a very bright pink (fuschia) will go with those pants.

I see a tunic type of top with those pants. Or maybe something with a collar. Check the sale rack of bananarepublic. They tend to have nice casual men's tops in a variety of colors.

Order the stuff in advance though. There are so many different qualities of linen and you want to make sure that you get the type that is soft and flowy not crisp and thin.

When I think leisure pants I think 70's polyester too.

Are you sure he doesn't mean like warm up pants or something.

Nope, he even brought up the movie Miami Vice (I've never seen it).
