    Question I need help.

I just colored my hair a deep black-brown with purple undertones. It's a lovely color - but I want to keep it from fading. Can any of you recommend a good, high quality shampoo and conditioner that protects color from fading and moisturizes? I keep reading tons of different reviews of different products and they are confusing because I don't know which is best.

    Thanks in advance!
I am Megly McTenderhearted - dubbed so by eelo.

Biolage has a great color care line of shampoos and conditioners

Unfortunately, its going to eventually fade

But if you avoid heat it will help. Flat irons, hair dryers are horrible culprits of fading.

Very true! I was always told to wash my hair in cool water when I had it red

Dont wash it very often. And especially don't wash it the first few days. It will make a world of difference.

thats how i get my color to last. when i first get it dyed, i won't wash it for four or five days. it can be annoying to co-ordinate that, but if you can.. it will help so much.

i also use tons of heat protection products before i style.

i used burt's bees shampoo/cond for dyed hair and my locks are holdin up pretty okay!

fyi, i'm a natural blonde with dyed black and purple hair.
