Yeah, the tattoo that's my avatar is a dark navy blue color on incredibly pale skin. I went to a bridal shop (David's Bridal in my area) and bought one of the basic cover-up kits. It works well, but that's because I have to use a different concealer tone. I'm a natural redhead with easily burnt skin.

I've heard of wonderful things with Ben Nye -- I use their products for movie make-up and latex prosthetics. Once I get some money I'm going to buy one of the kits and I'll let you know.

Mostly the cover-up kits contain a moisturizer, a white thick paste to lighten the tattoo (only!) and then a series of layers of concealer and mineral sheer powder. Some kits contain a finishing powder that makes it waterproof, but be careful.

Where is the tattoo you are trying to cover up? Is it in an area that would be rubbing on clothes? If so, that presents a different problem

I dont have a tattoo I have a vericose vein that I want to cover up. I am going to be having it treated at a clinic.. but you have to stay out of the sun for two weeks... which can't happen.. and it will bruise after... just seeing my options. Thank you you are very helpful.
