    Fake nails discoloring.

    Advertisements
I got my nails done about a week ago, and for the second time they have yellowed/oranged. I've been able to scrape a little of the yellow off and it's fine underneath. This is the 2nd time this has happened.
    Anyone have any ideas?

I hope I can figure this out because I want my tips done for the wedding.

    Get solar tips next time.

They don't yellow as easily and its a bit more natural look.

I was going to ask about tanning. That will turn them yellow.

What I do is ask them to do white tips instead of the clear ones. When they start to turn color a little take off the top coat with nail polish remover and apply a new coat.

    I don't tan.

I do need to though, I was planning to put bandaids on them when I do.

When I use to get mine done sunscreen would do that and also smoking can cause them to turn yellow.

Hmmm that could be it. I use head & shoulders. I think im going to try a little nail polish remover to see if that works. I'll probably just get them redone the day before our wedding.
