I am going to dye my hair...how hard is it to do it yourself? Should I just find someone to help me?

What are you doing to it? Just a solid color. Sure it can always be best to have someone else do it for you but if you need to do it yourself its not that hard.

I always do solid colors myself. If I need to, I get someone to help me, but I haven't gone to anyone and paid them to do it for me yet. But highlights and stuff? I'd pay to have that done. Only because I'm afraid I'd screw it up. I've done it once, and it didn't come out too bad, but I trust myself better with just the solid colors. It's pretty easy...Just gotta make sure you get every spot, which is why I go over everything several times.

I've always dyed my hair by myself. Just make sure you soak your hair with the dye. If you have really long and thick hair I'd get a second box of dye just to be safe. Wear the gloves and have peroxide on hand to get it off your skin before it stains. And cover bathroom surfaces to keep the dye from getting anywhere. I like to use a plastic walmart bag over my head while the dye sits. It keeps my hair from touching things.

You have longer hair (from the looks of your pics) so I would recommend that you have a friend help you. I would also recommend (depending on how think your hair is) that you buy two bottles because one is not always enough when you have a lot of hair.

When you do it yourself you run the risk of missing spots on your head.

the longer and/or thicker your hair 2 boxes is best. the big thing is to ensure that your hair is covered its not that hard, just time consuming and your arms get tired.
use old towels you don't care about incase you spill.

    I will miss you SOS...

I had my mom help me, so it was free. But having someone help is always a bonus.
