    Question Prescription Acne Medications

    Advertisements
For those of you who have/had cystic acne, what medications did you use that are/were topical creams that worked for you?!? My face is breaking out again....darn heat and humidity. It's been too long since I used a prescription topical cream, but am in dire need of one now.

My zits are the painful kind that don't form heads! They just take their sweet time to shrink back down and vanish...

My dr. prescribed Benzaclin, and I couldn't take using it.. I've apparently got a peroxide sensitivity. with in 2 uses my skin looked like I had a chemical burn and it hurt like hell. My stepmom's recommended the clinique stuff, so I may look into that next time I'm at the NEX.

Well, I'm what I am and I'm what I'm not
and I'm sure happy with what Iíve got
I live to love and laugh alot
    and thatís all I need

I had a reaction when using Retin-A. My face began to itch and develop little hives/rash.

I love Retina Micro, its the gel form not the white cream. And I have been using it for over 10 years. It also helps with keeping wrinkles away.

I have taken everything from Acutain to pharmacy face masks, and I like retina the best.

benzaclin worked great for me. I had the same kind of acne. at first my skin dried out, but after a continued use it got way better. and really after 10 weeks I didn't need to use it anymore. over 6 months and i've had no breakouts.

    I will miss you SOS...

    What brand were you on?

This is what I use for cystic, and i have had excellent results.

I also use BHA and AHA (latic acid) and those are great as well.

    I get it from http://www.makeupartistschoice.com/

They run sales a lot, you get notified via email if you sign up.
