If you have your done or looking to have them done.. do you have them and/or getting them done over or under the muscle. Also what is a good site to look up Dr's and their refrences?

I would honestly just go have consultations done with docs in your area. I'm getting the incision on the armpit, under the muscle and that gummy silicone.

    Over Vs. Unders .....

I'd talk to your Plastic Surgeon before deciding on which way you want to go.

I found my PS by searching online for PSs in my area then call each office to set up consultations (which are usually free) then after 2 or 3 appointments I went back to the PS who I felt was right for me.

    Here is what I did

I went to the state website to see if the doctor was board certified
What was he board certified in?
Did he have any malpractice claims?
How long have they been practicing?
Could I find other testimonials on 3rd party sites (message boards, etc) from people who had the same procedure done?
What plastic surgery area do they specialize in? Breast augmentations? Nose jobs? Lipo? What is this doctors area of expertise?

The above alone helped me rule out a few of the doctors in the area

Research the procedures and become familiar with the pros/cons of each
Some had consultation fees but would deduct that from the surgery fee in case you booked with them.

At the consult, ask them about...
    What are their revision rates?
    Capsular contraction occurrence?
If you have to have a revision, do they cover the work? What fees are you responsible for?
What do they do to reduce complications?
What procedures do THEY recommend for you and why? (Over vs Under, Gummy v Silicone, Peri-Areolar v Armpit v Crease v Belly Button?)

And lastly what is their bedside manner? You want someone who not only knows what they are doing but someone who takes the time to inform you, make you feel comfortable and address your needs attentively.

I'm sooo glad I went with a plastic surgeon who had a great bedside manner cause I had a post-surgery freak out (literally I called them up not even a week later demanding they be taken out) and the surgeon was receptive to my concerns and made me feel SOOOO much better afterwards.

HTH. For awhile I joined a message board called "Yes They're Fake" it was pretty helpful. I made a pillow fort and everything for my recovery and it prepared me for things I didn't expect like:

    Spitting stitches
Using rice to help determine the cc's I want to be
    Boobie wink
    Morning boob
and the nipples sticking out like missiles for a little while after surgery

Yeah. Ask around to people that you might know that have them. Try and get firsthand experiences that people have had with them.

I'm planning on getting myself some as a college graduation present to myself. I want cohesive gels, unders.
