A question for you curly girls

How in the heck do you straighten you hair and get to look straight? I've tried everything I could think of to get my hair straight and it just ends up a big tangled, frizzy mess. Like a perm gone VERY wrong. Its take me hours to do it too.

My hair is curly/wavy and I straighten it everyday..

I use a leave in conditioner of sorts after I get out of the shower (Chi) and then I take a paddle brush and blow dry it in sections...I start from the bottom layer...then I use a anti frizz serum (again Chi is the best!) and then I use my Chi straightener and straighten in sections (just like for blowdrying)

The longer my hair gets the easier it gets to straighten...because of the weight pulling the curls!

Have you tried the oglivie straightning treatment...i really liked that...but good luck getting it to curl again for awhile

It takes me about 30 minutes and I have really curly hair. So does my sister and her hair is a lot longer than mine. Just section it off. Small pieces and make sure to comb it out before you straighten it. And it would be good if you had a nice hot iron.

i have very thick very curly hair (my avatar pic is actually tamed with gel and hair spray.lol) i have to make very small sections and just make sure i put in an anti-frizz serum or straightening gel/spray, or a heat protectant to prevent it from getting fluffy and wavy.

I blowdry mine down (hold the hair dryer down) and brush it straight at the same time in sections. Then I lean over to one side so I can starighten the underneath (sounds crazy I know ) then I clip up the top sections of my hair and straighten the underneath again and just straighten a section at a time from there.
I use paul mitchell skinny serum. But only a little dime sized amount through your damp hair
