    growing your hair out

    Advertisements
Who else is doing it. I know loretta is. I'd like to get your tips and tricks and for a support group. Lol.

My las cut was feb 24. I'd like to short for chin length. Former db's sis's 21st bday is june 23 so my goal is to rock the new hair there.

I've had my short cut since june 98 save for 6 months of trying to grow it out in early 01.

I picked up some vinyl headbands that have elastic cords on the bottom that make them a complete circle. So far I'm liking it. Metal and plastic headbands give me a headache.

    Sooo, tips and tricks...

    well its been growing out
I bobbed it back in September. its now to my shoulders I'm hoping to get it longer
i made sure to keep the front trimmed I like my side swept bangs and some face layers. but never cut the back. its hard because there wasn't many options of ways to wear my hair but head bands YES!!!
I would say once it starts growing out trim what you like ( ie if you like bangs or want face layers etc.) but be strong and don't let them go scissor happy.

also now is the time to maybe try some bold highlights ( shorter hair its easier) or a new hair color.

    I will miss you SOS...

I have been growing my hair out since last October....I tried to save money and go get a "TRIM" at the local beauty college.I went in with a chin length angled bob, and walked away looking like a boy. I cried the whole way home. 6 months later, its still really short in the back, but much better. I'll post pictures taken recently. Its hard to grow out really short hair. Every time I go in for a trim, I always get more cut than I wanted to because I like to have some sort of style.

    VITAMINS!!

Hello all, I went to beauty school and I just wanted to fill you all in on this little tip! There is a vitamin called BIOTIN...it is amazing.

This supplement can also be found in GNC's multipaks for woman, as well as their line called "Hair, Skin, and Nails"

You will notice a difference in your hair, both strenght and growth rate, as well as you nails (as they are also an appendage of the skin)

    Just a little fun fact

i've had really short hair and really long hair (i don't have any pics of the short on here, i dont think). whenever i grew it out, i just made sure i kept trimming the "neck hair" so it always had a clean line while the rest grew out. head bands and bandanas (folded up til their about 2" wide) were lifesavers for me.

also, let your hair dresser know that you're growing it out and you want styles in the mean time that will help you accomplish that.

I used to have short short hair like yours Tonya...but I grew it out to my chin...let me see if I can find some

I think this was my longest...hard to see because its back

    short, but not the shortest

    another cut short

    and my very short cut

This was me 3 weeks ago, although its pulled back that layer is the shortest that is kinda being flung to the side haha

I rarely wear my hair down its almost always pulled back, but I will try to wear it down tomorrow or Saturday to give you an idea of where it is now...its like an inch past my chin

    i'm growing mine back out.

this is the shortest my hair has ever been as an adult. this was in 06.

this is the length i had it cut a few months ago.

this is closer to how it is now. it's about a 1/2 inch longer i think.

this is what i want again:

    or even this one:

i feel so much hotter with longer hair.

I'm growing mine out. To avoid the weird outgrown haircut look, I keep trimming the bottom, and I let the top catch up to the bottom. I wear a lot of headbands.
